Abstract:

We consider a scenario where an application service provider hires a network service provider (NSP) to deliver its service and pays for the service of the NSP. We formulate the problem of designing a suitable pricing mechanism between these two providers as a Stackelberg game. We first show the existence of a unique equilibrium of the game. Then, we examine how risk aversion by the NSP affects the equilibrium and investigate its properties.
