Bing Qi received his B.A. in Physics from Nanjing University in 1990, and PhD in Optical Instrument from Dalian University of Technology in1996. From 1996-1999, he was a Postdoc Researcher in Dept. of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University. During1999-2002, he worked as a researcher scientist in the Center for Photonics Technology, Virginia Tech, USA. From 2002-2003, he was a Postdoc researcher in Dept. of Medical Biophysics, University of Toronto. Currently, he is a joint Research Associate in Quantum Information Quantum Communication & Cryptography Lab and Photonics Lab, Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Toronto.

Experimental quantum cryptography; Quantum optics; Optical coherence tomography; Fiber optical sensing technology.
