Next to visits to KTH, excursions to industry, and further networking opportunities, the Future Digileaders will take an active role in two larger events of the Digitalization days:\u00a0<\/span><strong class=\"\">Day 2\u00a0<\/strong><span class=\"\">addresses industry and society challenges and visions, with a mix of high-level keynotes, deep-dive panels and discussions, and demonstrations.<\/span><strong class=\"\">\u00a0Day 3\u00a0<\/strong><span class=\"\">goes deeper into the very latest research on the technologies that drive digitalization. Leading academic researchers present and debate with industry and public research leaders.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\">The Digileaders will leave the event with:<\/span><\/div>\n<ul class=\"UVNKR n8H08c\">\n<li id=\"h.p_zMCZ-WpcN_m6\" class=\"zfr3Q TYR86d\">insights into joys and struggles of becoming and being a faculty and awareness of a broad range of career paths and strategies one can choose from<\/li>\n<li id=\"h.p_zMCZ-WpcN_m6\" class=\"zfr3Q TYR86d\"><span class=\"\">having shaped values and practices that should be promoted in a good research environment<\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"h.p_ILxTVxluN_m8\" class=\"zfr3Q TYR86d\">new connections to research and industrial leaders, and a network of international peers<\/li>\n<li id=\"h.p_-DqiTjKGN_m8\" class=\"zfr3Q TYR86d\">understanding of the potential of digitalization research in a broader societal context, a peek into different areas of digitalization research, as well as knowledge about state-of-the-art research challenges and advancements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><strong><span class=\"\">Application Submission<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><em class=\"\">\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\">Interested researchers must apply for an invitation to this event.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"\">Applicants are expected to be interested in pursuing an academic career in digitalization related to research themes trio<\/span><span class=\"\">\u00a0<\/span><strong class=\"\">Trust &#8211; Learn &#8211; Cooperate<\/strong><span class=\"\">. These themes encompass basic as well as applied research in areas including, but not limited to, security and privacy, human-technology interaction, systems and data science, artificial intelligence, robotics, networking, or communication and control.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\">Applicants should be early career female researchers, who obtained their PhD degree no earlier than 2015, or are expected to graduate no later than 2021. The eligibility window can be extended by career breaks, such as maternity leave, long-term illness, or national service during or after PhD studies.<\/span><span class=\"\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"\">Application material merged into a single pdf should contain a\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"\">CV (max 2 pages), a\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"\">link to google scholar profile or a list of publications, a c<\/span><span class=\"\">ontact to 2 references, and a b<\/span><span class=\"\">rief (max. 300 words) answer to the question: &#8220;If you could choose freely, what research would you do for digitalization?&#8221;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\n<p id=\"h.p_gukS2-W4IXG4\" class=\"zfr3Q\"><span class=\"\">A\u00a0<\/span>diverse and dynamic group of 30-50 Digileaders based on the application materials.
