I am presently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Vector Institute, working with Prof. Daniel Roy. I finished my Ph.D. at the University of Toronto where I was very fortunate to be advised by Prof. Ben Liang and Prof. Min Dong. My CV is here.
My general research interests cover the broad area of Machine Learning, Optimization, and Internet of Things. My Ph.D. research is focused on developing theory and practices for next generation large-scale distributed and heterogeneous networks. I am currently working in the area of theoretical machine learning. In particular, I am studying the stability and convergence of accelerated stochastic gradient method.
10/2018, I am thrilled to join Vector Institute as a Postdoctoral Fellow.
8/2018, I gave a talk titled ‘‘Stability of Stochastic Gradient Method with Momentum for Strongly Convex Loss Functions’’ at Vector Institute.
7/2018, I gave a talk titled ‘‘Stability of Stochastic Gradient Method with Momentum for Strongly Convex Loss Functions’’ at UoT IT Seminar.
5/2018, I gave a talk titled ‘‘Interference Control for IoT Ecosystem with D2D Communication’’ at Telecom ParisTech.
4/2018, I gave a talk titled ‘‘Interference Control for IoT Ecosystem with D2D Communication’’ at Telecom ParisTech.
1/2018, I received the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Postdoctoral Fellowship (NSERC PDF).
