I am a PhD Candidate at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Toronto. I am working under the supervision of Professors Ravi Adve and Andrew Eckford. I am also the Vice Chair of the IEEE ComSoc Chapter, Toronto Section .
The emergence of plasmonic nanoantennas has paved the way towards electromagnetic (EM) communication among nanodevices, where the Terahertz (THz) frequency band is a key enabler of communication among intra-body nanodevices. Interestingly, the energy scale of THz radiation is within the range of interactions between molecules. Hence, my research area focuses on regulating molecular interactions, specifically protein folding, using EM waves, where we propose a stimuli-responsive intra-body model that is controlled using THz nanosensors. We are interested in designing a framework that allows us to selectively control the receiving end of signal transduction, where the desired protein population is stimulated to fold due to the induced interaction.
