Besides the generous funding received from NSERC, our lab also has the support of various affliates, both technically and financially, in order to conduct research and development on biometrics.
Bell CANADA
Bell Canada created Bell Security Solutions Inc. (BSSI) in 2005, to provide network and information security for communications networks to Canadian business and government. Security is one of the fastest growing areas in IT solutions at Bell Canada. As such, Bell Canada contributes to our lab by providing access to facilities through Bell University Labs, and as well as the involvement of professional technical personnel. Bionym is affiliated with the biometrics security laboratory and several novel biometrics projects are co-developed.
The Individual Readiness Section of DRDC-Toronto is strongly interested in the research for medical battlefield, emergency and rescue applications. In particular, our biometric research projects are highly complementary to these objectives. As a partner to various projects at our lab, DRDC support includes not only scientific collaboration but also financial contributions.
