Dimitrios Hatzinakos is a Professor and holds the Bell Canada Chair in Multimedia in the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department, University of Toronto. He is co-founder and Director of the Identity, Privacy and Security Institute (IPSI) at the University of Toronto. He is author/co-author of more than 200 papers in technical journals and conference proceedings and he has contributed to 12 books in his areas of interest. His research interests and expertise are in the areas of Multimedia Signal Processing, Multimedia Security, Multimedia Communications and Biometric Systems.

 

Konstantinos N. Plataniotis is a Professor in the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department, University of Toronto, and an Adjunct Professor with the School of Computer Science at Ryerson University, Canada. He is the Chair of the Communications Group at the ECE Department, Deputy Director of The University of Toronto's Knowledge Media Design Institute and the Director of Research for the Identity, Privacy and Security Institute at the University of Toronto. His research interests are primarily in the areas of image/signal processing, machine learning and adaptive learning systems, visual data analysis, multimedia and knowledge media, and affective computing.

 

Sherif Seha is a Postdoctoral at University of Toronto. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Assiut University, Egypt. His interests are focused mainly on human authentication using new biometric traits.

 

Bilal Taha is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Toronto, supervised by Dr. Dimitrios Hatzinakos. He is also a Postgraduate affiliate to the Vector Institute. His research interests lie at the intersection of signal processing and machine learning implemented in application for health care and biometrics. He is broadly interested in deep learning, generative models and computer vision.

 

Dae Yon Hwang is a Ph.D. candidate at University of Toronto, worked with Dr. Dimitrios Hatzinakos. His research interests are machine learning, signal processing, NLP and computer vision areas. During Ph.D., he is mainly working on biometric area to suggest the unique and time-stable verification system with the physiological signals.
