Biometric Encryption for Face Recognition Solutions
This project aims to provide a reliable and secure framework for facial detection, using biometric technologies. Specific application requirements are dictated by the voluntary self-exclusion scenario currently being deployed by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, under the aegis of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario, in which both security and privacy issues are simultaneously emphasized. Various contributions are made in the error correction code and key binding modules, as well as analyzing the overall security performance of the biometric encryption system. In particular, a fuzzy biometric key binding methodology based on dirty paper coding and quantization index modulation is proposed. The resulting framework is demonstrated to exhibit improved flexibility and reliability, when compared to existing key binding methods for biometric applications.
